闸门立柱一般由以下三部分组成。

（1）门叶（或称门体）。具体又由面板、梁格系统、支承行走装置、止水装置和吊耳等组成，是可以开关的主体部分，用以封闭和开放孔口。

（3）启闭设备。即控制门叶在孔口中位置的操纵设施，具体有启闭机（含动力、传动、制动设施）和连接装置（螺杆或钢丝绳等）。
